In the Round gathers the many voices of protest and dissent, restaging historical events in a virtual environment. Figures warm up at the centre, then break across a grass field of bright yellows and reds. As chants drift through layered archival sound, cracked loudspeakers flicker and sirens stretch into melodic lines. Here, simulation places the observer inside the mass demonstrations, like the theatre stage completely encircled by the audience. But the drama is not about recreating events. It is about translation: the urgency, the rhythm, the charge of voices reaching for new forms of action.
